I like the app when it's working, but I've had to uninstall and reinstall it 5 times now because after a couple weeks it just wont sync with my fitbit surge anymore. I've looked this up online and apparently it's fairly common with Download fitbit app 10 and is not a new problem.
The only solution I could find that works is uninstall, reinstall. An update that fixes this would be nice. Update Yet again I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it working. Every couple of weeks this happens and I know I'm not the only one. From a quick internet search it's apparent this has been a problem for while. Update Still doesn't sync consistently, new computer, new OS, new fitbit, new phone Fix your app. I know I'm not the only one with issues. Very disappointed. I bought a second Charge 2. Having difficulty syncing. Instead of step by step explanation, I can only find "questions" which don't apply to my issue. I am not on my third fitbit in 3 months. The first one was able to synch for only about two weeks and the technician could do nothing to make download fitbit app work properly.
They sent me a second one since It was still under warranty. Download fitbit app could not get the second one to be recognized on my Windows 10 laptop. Bluetooth could find it but the Fitbit app could not.
Spent another hour working with the Fitbit folks and they finally sent download fitbit app a third one. Finally had time to sit down tonight and install it after deleteing the other twoand this one has all the same problems.
I've wasted hours getting this to work properly. The device itself is great BUT I want to be able to see my sleep patterns which you cannot download fitbit app on the device itself. VERY frustrating. Currently installed on Win10 ver build Charge3 firmware 1. Very spotty synchronization between Charge3 and android phones, even with most recent updates.
Synchronization when it occurs takes several minutes to complete in which you are in the dark as to whether its a sync issue or just slow data transfer. The auto-recognize feature of the Charge 3 with Fitbit app has become basically unreliable and useless since about 12 April period of updates. At this point in time, it is nice in advertised features but very short in results. Plan on manually starting any physical activity tracking along with minimalist support.
The Bluetooth connection reliability is about zero. The fitbit can't seem to get through two Sync's without losing the connection and locking up. How in the world do you have software that locates the tracker, Software locates the tracker, then tells me it synched Dec 7 it is now Dec 10 and refused to update?
Only way it updates is to remove the tracker, shut down, the PC, load the tracker, pair it again, and now it synchs. Done with Fitbit -- can get just as good results with a phone app which does not require constant manual intervention. I can not get it to sync with windows 10 even though I was promised when I bought it that there would be no problem. I can't even use it as a watch because I lose 5 minutes every 15 minutes. I have called customer support several times to help resolve but without any result.
Sad thing is I waited a long time to afford this charge 3 and I might as well have thrown my money in the toilet. Fitbit refuses to fix constant Android connection problems, poor download fitbit app tracking, poor step tracking, inconsistent notifications, etc. To get anything semi-working, I have to use the Windows 10 app. This will be our last Fitbit device if not returned and demanding a refund sooner, download fitbit app.
